| Welcome the the University of Bath Cycling Club, blazing a trail since 1997. New members to the club, please sign up with the site to use the forums. The University of Bath Cycling Club is a club for every type of cyclist. Don't let the name fool you, we are not your average road club who just go out for a pootle on Sunday club runs, recently changed from being the Mountain Bike Club we know how to have fun too! We have club XC, DH and road rides every Wednesday afternoon where we ride the best Bath has to offer and throughout the year venture further afield to pit ourselves against the rest of the countries trails! Able to cater for all abilities we have a strong racing presence, currently acquiring a wealth of medals at BUSA, local and national competitions, ensuring the blue and yellow is often seen on the podium. We can also accommodate for those that see racing as a foreign concept, with all club rides going at a pace suitable for everyone! Off the bike we like to have a club social or even combine the two to form the canal pub crawl, our fresher’s week event with a cycling twist. So what ever kind of cycling you’re into you'll be a welcome member of the club. Join the club via www.bathstudent.com then join the forums.

Batharis
The club is running something we made up called the Batharis on Sunday. Its like a treasure hunt/orienteering on mountain bikes. Ollie and I are going to put notes around various trails in Bath with clues and you have to go and find them. We will give you a map showing roughly where they are and a few old members who know the trails will go around with the groups too, but its a great way of getting to know where the trails are and the weird names we have for them! You get points for getting the marks and the winners are the first back. Meet at 1pm by the parade steps.
First ride of term
The rides probably won't be more then 2 hours and you will need to wear a helmet, it would be good to bring a spare inner tube, multi-tool and maybe a bit of food too. See you tomorrow!
Welcome
Returning members will notice the club has now officially changed to the Cycling Club so if you were looking on the SA to rejoin the club and were horrified to find it no longer exists, it does, but as the Cycling Club. Still the same great club but now with a more fitting name. [Submitted by John]
