  | Welcome the the University of Bath Mountain Bike Club, blazing a trail since 1997. New members to the club, please sign up with the site to use the forums. This year the MTB club is planning big things, more riding, more trips to more places, more socials and more BUSA domination! If you enjoy riding a bike with 2 wheels and 2 pedals, we are the club for you, we run MTB rides (XC, DH, Trail and Trials) and road rides. We like bikes in general and the people who ride them, not just one type. If you ride, we want to be a part of it. Last year we went to 5 different trail centres on trips, raced in every type of event and still found time to organise the annual canal pub crawl and moonlight speedway contest! BUSA's 2008 - CwmCarn
Great showing at the BUSA's yet again, here are a couple of the podium photos. John - Silver, Mens Champs. Abi - Silver, Womens Champs. Abi and Fi - Gold, Womens Team. No photo due to calculation errors, Bath win silver in the Mens XC Team - John, Rudy and Trev  Mention should go to Chris and James getting 1st and 2nd respectively in the Mens XC Sport. Change of Sponsor
Incase you didn't know we've changed sponsors from MBUK to BikeRadar.com. Future own both brands, but it was decided that as the club is becoming more multi-discipline we should have a sponsor to match. http://www.bikeradar.com is an online magazine covering all the disciplines and all of Futures cycling publications. We will soon have our own blog on the site to post news about the clubs activities. The bike radar logo will feature on the new kit for which they have helped to subsidise!
BUSA cycling events
Cyclo-cross The BUSA cyclo-cross is on the 3rd Feb in Swansea. If you are interested in racing then post on the forum. Depending on numbers we will either just go in cars or get uni transport. Mountain Biking XC and DH This will be in Cwn Carn (our home turf) on the 7-9th March. More details to follow, but definately a date to keep clear for some more Bath Uni domination of this event.

You may have noticed the large wiggle banner on the right... Its the referral scheme where the club can get up to 10% on all orders! You need to click on the banner and create an account (even if you have one already, recreate one, or we get no money) Then for the first 3 months, we get cash back on all your orders. Track
9 of us crossed the boarder to attend a track session in Newport Velodrome. Due to the weather, it was a little busier than expected, but everyone got up and going. Nearly 300 pics were taken when we were riding, so need to sort them, but here's one for the front page. Activation Emails
There was an issue with new members not receiving activation emails from the site. This should now be sorted and the emails should be resent. Let me know if there are any further issues. Matt (Barry)
Joining the Club
As of Monday 22nd October anyone who has not joined the club will not be on the mailing list. We no longer have control over the list, so only those who have joined the club through www.bathstudent.com can be on the list. Plus its the only way to take advantage of all the subsidised trips and races. Sign up now!
Annual Canal Ride
Next Wednesday (24th) is the Annual Canal Ride, we start on campus on Wednesday evening and whisk you off on a magical mystery tour of the Public Houses located near or by the canal path. THIS IS NOT A PUB CRAWL, riding bikes and drinking is UNCOOL, but we can't stop you. We'll be ending our night in Score dancing to Chesney Hawkes...what more could you want!?
