We are hosting a BUCS meeting in 2E 3.5 on Tuesday at 6pm to run through the schedule, details
on accommodation, payments… then we can either watch a cycling film and head over to Parade for a quick ‘Getting-to-know-you’ sesh. (bring your own name tags)
Jacob is in charge of the film so put some suggestions in to him.
Hope everyone is Geeed up for some racing ACTION!
Nice turn out of 10 riders this Sunday on the Chaingang or Groupride or whatever you want to call it. These will be running every week but maybe change to a Saturday. The route is 110km and meeting 9:20 for a 9:30 departure from the large bus stop on campus. Keep your eye out on here and emails. Hopefully we can get some non Uni riders out too.
So last week saw the first “chaingang” take shape on Liam’s 110k Burrington, Cheddar route. This weeks ride willl head out a 9:30 from the main bus stop on campus and has been opened up to the public too. This should mean we get plenty of riders out so it should naturally split in to a few groups on the road based on how fast you can/want to ride. For people not wanting to go the whole distane there is a number of escape routes too which are noted on the map

Remember to bring food, drinks, pump, multi-tool and helmet. Taking a bit of cash never hurts just in case you get stuck too.
Hope to get a good turnout this Sunday
With the Tour Down Under kicking off the pro road scene, Liam and Trev thought it was about time to kick off their own roadie careers. Both being pretty proficient MTB racers but with no points on the road board things had to start from the bottom. Heres a vid from the 4th cat race at Upavon WInter Series. Liam take the win – BOOM! If you fancy a bit of racing then get yourself a British Cycling Licence and lets do it!
