A quick edit from the Hill Climb on Sunday.
Some of the XC riders decided that a trip to Bristol would be a good way to spend a Saturday, and they were right. 8 hours, two pump tracks, a BMX track and a hot lap of Ashton Court after they left, a noticably more tired group arrived back in Bath. Some awesome photos were taken, this one is my personal favourite. Watch this space for a vid on the way too.
The first social of the year, the uni pub crawl went down last Wednesday. With an even earlier start time this year, it got pretty epic as the night went on. Thanks to all who came, and those who organised it. Plans for another one again this year are already in the pipeline….
Anyone who is thinking about joining the club this year – in fact anyone who likes a good video – take a look at this awesome edit that Doug has been putting together. It’s pretty much a highlight reel of most (not all!) of the club’s riding last year. Getting stoked for another year with Bath Uni CC!
What better way to start a new university cycling year than being heckled up a hill climb…..with cobbles?!

Obviously, as with the awesome crits last year, coming down and heckling at the sidelines is actively encouraged, Frome is only 14 miles away.

Donald , Peter , Ed and Guy raced the Mountain Mayhem 24hr epic to a win in the Uni category. Ride of the day goes to Pete who stopped for a picnic part way round his last lap as he’d bonked big time, but still managed to finish in time for us to squeeze one last lap in!
Also a big shout out for Woolsey and Tom Magowan for bringing snacks and coming to watch.

Congratulations to club alumni, Sarah and Nick, who were second at the Bristol Bike Fest 6hr. Two podiums for Sarah in two weekends!

Nice podium shot from the Erlestoke12 this last weekend. Levi and Sarah put in a great ride and got second spot on the podium. Unfortunately, Trevor and Liam were leading but crashed out after 5hours of racing and Liam walked away with a couple of cracked ribs. Get well soon buddy!
Liam takes Morten on the line for 2 wins out of 2 in the Vicky Park Crits. big Uni turn out this week – hoping to see even more next week, just two races left!
