Bath University Cycling Club

Club member John Whittington binned his normal Saturday diet of miles and instead ate up Park Street in Bristol to claim 2nd place behind Wiggle Athlete Ben Simmons.

After qualifying in the morning, John was selected to face off against the Redbull invited pro riders. Dispensing all comers John made the final and put on a great show for the thousands of specators that showed up. Nice one #Johnlad.

Earlier in the day, Mark Bleakley grabbed himself an unexpected 2nd place at the Ludgershall Winterseries. This puts him 1point away from gaining his 3rd Cat license. It is unclear how many gels Mark used in the process.

Next week the off road bunch are off to tear up the Forest of Dean. Boom.

Exams are in full flow so not much riding is getting done, but we are looking toward the light at the end of the tunnel. So much infact we are going to smash this up in Bristol in Feb…

Hi Guys and Girls!

I hope that you all are enjoying your summer holidays and are getting pretty pumped for the new semester in October. This is a little video that we put together to help explain about the club and some of the activities we do. We are a pretty easy going and friendly group of people who like to ride bikes – road, cross-country and downhill – its all covered.

If you are new to the Uni or returning and thinking about joining our club then watch the video and its all explained. Hopefully we should get some road footage up here soon too.

First weekend back after ISB we’re going to the awesome all weather trails at Cwmcarn for some epic trail centre fun!

this is a trip for DH and XC, all riders welcome, and the more that come, the cheaper it’ll be for everyone!

Hi Guys,

If the only thing keeping you happy at the minute is the thought of your new kit turning up then it’s your lucky day! A whole 10months earlier than last years kit delivery today Liam had 13kilos of brightly coloured tight clothing delivered.

Plans for delivery are not firmed up yet but I am sure there will be plenty of opportunity to get it – and asap if your desperate.

Do I sniff a TEAM PHOTO?

So the kit order has made it off to Champion Systems and we should all be getting belated Christmas Presents or end of exam gooddies depending on how you see it. Either way its going to be awesome. Heres a little taster for those of you who order caps, I’ll be rolling brim side………
