No, not the one in Munich that lasts for two weeks, But the equally challenging 8hour end of season Enduro at the excellent Ashton Court trails of Bristol.
Thanks to everyone who came on the trip and made it so awesome! Mega props to drivers and organisers. Perfect day of riding, chilling and a barbecue to round it all off.
With the days getting longer, watch out for some more post ride BBQ action!

Great weekend had by all. Thanks to all who came along, especially those who organised transport, accommodation and general planning. It’s sure to go down in Bath Uni CC history and be talked about for years to come.

First weekend back after ISB we’re going to the awesome all weather trails at Cwmcarn for some epic trail centre fun!
this is a trip for DH and XC, all riders welcome, and the more that come, the cheaper it’ll be for everyone!

The start of the semester has flown by and things are settling down nicely. If you haven’t made it out on any of the club rides yet then you’ve been missing out! With around 30 people turning up across all disciplines every week and a run of dry weather, dry roads and dry trails there has been some awesome club rides.
Remember 2:15 at the 25m pool every Wednesday!
Those of you with your eyes on the forum will have seen that a contingent from the club went to take on one of the last races of the year just down the road in Bristol. Oktoberfest was an 8hour enduro in the awesome trails of Ashton Court. The the club took 4 teams:
Guy and Donald in Pairs
Abi and Sarah Pairs
Levi, Mike and Liam in Team
John and Trevor in Pairs
The weather was perfect and the trails were bone dry. It was a great event and everyone had fun – plus we got podiums in Female pairs and John and Trev won their race. A top day out followed by curry and Jagerbombs!
This weekend the XC team headed to Plymouth for the last round of the British Mountain Bike Series – John Whittington racing Elite, Trevor Allen in Expert and Liam Glen in Sport.
Struggling with end of season form John and Trevor didn’t have great races but fresh from the Pyrenees Liam rode to 2nd place in the race and with it secured 3rd place overall in the series – ensuring his promotion to Expert for the 2011 season. Thanks to a consistent (but not particularly fast) season Trevor will be Elite for next year.
Always nice to see the club jersey on a national podium – well done Liam.
Two long term but unfortunately recently graduated members of the Uni club, won the female pairs category at the Torq 12hr race last weekend.
Sarah and Abi who were both racing for Charge bikes at the event opened up a small lead after lap one and kept winding the gap up till it was over an hour by the end of the race.
An awesome result and great ride from both. Nice one
